These Terms govern your use of MedicalWhitePapers and the submission of white papers. Last updated: August 20, 2025

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using MedicalWhitePapers (the “Service”), creating an account, or submitting content (including white papers, images, or metadata), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Accounts & Eligibility

  • You must provide accurate, current information and keep it updated.
  • You are responsible for all activity under your account and for maintaining confidentiality of credentials.
  • If you act on behalf of an institution, you represent that you have authority to do so.

3. Publishing Policy (White Papers)

3.1 Submissions

  • Submissions must be PDF white papers with an abstract, authors, institution, country and specialty.
  • Clinical materials must not contain patient identifiers. If applicable, confirm IRB/ethics compliance.
  • You must have the necessary rights (copyright/license) to publish the material and to grant us a license (see §6).

3.2 Review & Publication

  • All submissions undergo formatting/quality checks. We may refuse, request changes, or remove content at our discretion (e.g., plagiarism, unsafe claims, advertising disguised as research).
  • Featured placement is curated and not guaranteed.

3.3 Metadata & Edits

  • We may correct obvious metadata errors (spelling, casing) and standardize specialties/countries for consistency.
  • Authors can request updates; provide your submission reference (e.g., SUB20250101AB12).

4. Fees, Payments & Refunds

  • White paper uploads are paid. Prices and taxes (e.g., VAT/GST) are shown at checkout.
  • Payments are processed by third-party processors (e.g., Stripe/PayPal). We do not store full card details.
  • Refunds: If we decline your submission before publication, we may issue a refund (processing fees may be non-refundable). After publication, refunds are not guaranteed.
  • Coupons/discounts are time-limited and non-transferable.

Tip: Keep your payment receipt and the submission reference code for support.

5. Acceptable Use

  • No illegal, defamatory, harassing, or misleading content.
  • No uploading malware, spam, or attempts to bypass security or payment flows.
  • No posting of personal health information (PHI) or private data without proper consent and lawful basis.
  • Do not misrepresent affiliations, credentials, or conflicts of interest.

6. Intellectual Property

6.1 Your Content

You retain ownership of your content. By submitting, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, cache, index, display, and promote your content on and in connection with the Service, including excerpts, thumbnails, and metadata, solely for operating and improving the Service.

6.2 Our Materials

Site code, design, and branding are owned by MedicalWhitePapers and our licensors. You may not copy, scrape, or republish the site except as allowed by law or with prior written permission.

7. Takedown & Complaints

If you believe content infringes your rights or is unlawful, email legal@medicalwhitepapers.org with:

  • Link to the page and exact content in question.
  • Proof of rights (or authority to act) and a clear explanation.
  • Your contact details. We may forward your notice to the uploader.

We may temporarily hide content while we investigate. Repeat or willful infringers may lose access.

8. Disclaimers (Medical & General)

  • No medical advice: Content is for information, education, and research. It is not a substitute for professional medical diagnosis or treatment.
  • As-is: The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
  • Third-party links: We are not responsible for external websites or resources.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MedicalWhitePapers and its affiliates are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or revenues, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months prior to the event giving rise to the claim.

10. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless MedicalWhitePapers, its affiliates, and staff from claims arising out of your content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

11. Governing Law & Venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of [insert jurisdiction]. Courts located in [insert venue] shall have exclusive jurisdiction, except where local consumer law provides otherwise.
